General Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. Purpose

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter “Terms and Conditions”) govern the reservations and sales of excursions offered by the company Mon Guide Zanzibar (hereinafter “the Company”) on the website www.monguidezanzibar.fr (hereinafter “the Site”). By confirming their reservation, the customer acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions without reservation.

2. Services Offered

The Company offers, through its Site, the reservation of excursions and activities in Zanzibar. These services include the offerings mentioned in the description of each excursion. The Company acts as an intermediary between the customer and the local partner guides. The reservation is managed by the Company, but the delivery of services is the responsibility of the local guide. Any additional purchases or extra consumption on-site remain the customer’s responsibility and must be paid directly to the local guide or the relevant service provider.

3. Reservation and Payment

• The customer reserves their excursion online through the Site.
• To confirm the reservation, a deposit of 30% of the total amount is required.
• The balance (70%) must be paid no later than 7 days before the excursion date.
• Payment is made exclusively by credit card through the secure platform Stripe.
• If the balance is not paid within the specified timeframe, the reservation will be considered canceled and the deposit will remain with the Company.

 

4. Cancellation and Refund

• Cancellation by the customer more than 30 days before the excursion date: full refund of amounts paid.
• Cancellation by the customer between 30 days and 7 days before the excursion date: the 30% deposit remains with the Company.
• Cancellation by the customer less than 7 days before the excursion date or absence on the day of the activity: the full amount remains due and no refund will be issued.

In case of cancellation by the Company (for example if the local guide is unable to provide the excursion), the customer will be fully refunded for amounts paid.

5. Liability

The Company acts solely as an intermediary between the customer and the local guide. The Company’s liability cannot be engaged in case of total or partial poor execution of the service attributable to the local guide, the customer, or force majeure (unfavorable weather, strikes, delays, etc.). The customer is required to follow the safety instructions given by the local guide. Any recklessness or inappropriate behavior is the customer’s responsibility.

6. Prices

Prices shown on the Site are in euros and include applicable taxes. They do not include personal expenses or extras not mentioned in the excursion description.

7. Personal Data (GDPR)

Personal data collected during reservation (last name, first name, email, phone, payment information) is necessary for managing reservations. The Company commits not to sell or transmit this data to non-partner third parties. The customer has the right to access, correct, and delete their data, which can be exercised by writing to: contact@monguidezanzibar.fr.  

8. Intellectual Property

The Site’s content (text, photos, graphics, logo) is protected by intellectual property law. Any total or partial reproduction is prohibited without prior authorization from the Company.

9. Applicable Law and Disputes

These Terms and Conditions are subject to French law. In case of dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first. Otherwise, the competent courts will be those of the Company’s registered office.
